August, 27 2019

The Nunataryuk research project is an international research collaboration that studies the impact of permafrost thaw to determine how this will affect local indigenous populations, local communities, and the local environment. Researchers with the Nunataryuk project applied for ARI's Research Assistant Program and Research Fellowship Program.

Nunataryuk work with local knowledge holders and much of the material in this blog post was provided by David Obie James Anikina from Tuktoyaktuk who was hired with funds from ARI's Research Assistant Program.
