ARI Lecture: Merging Science and Sport with Dr. Natalie Kramer Anderson

August, 27 2019

On Tuesday, September 3rd, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm the Aurora Research Institute in Inuvik will host Dr. Natalie Kramer Anderson.

Natalie's talk will weave together her two passions - kayaking and science. Her global kayaking explorations and research documenting and understanding rivers to sustainably manage earth's fragile water systems complement each other. Her early research focused on driftwood in the Slave River and Great Slave Lake of the South Slave Region. She is currently in Inuvik studying driftwood deposits in the Mackenzie River Delta. Her work highlights the importance of natural delivery of wood to deltas to maintain productive ecosystems and healthy oceans.
