February 20, 2014

If you're in Inuvik on Thursday 27 February - come by the Western Arctic Research Centre for a talk by Dr. Chris Southcott at 4:00 PM!

Dr. Southcott will be giving a presentation on the Resources and Sustainable Development in the Arctic (ReSDA) project, which brings together researchers and community representatives to conduct research aimed at the sustainable development of Arctic natural resources in a manner that will improve the health and well-being of northern communities while preserving the region’s unique environment.

Dr. Southcott will share some of the research that has been done in the NWT and similar northern regions. We invite you to learn about the research approaches that are being taken and welcome your comments and recommendations to help develop research that supports community needs and interests.
