Aurora College One of 15 Institutions to Receive EDI Institutional Capacity-Building Grants

The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport, announced $5.3 million dollars in funding in EDI Institutional Capacity-Building Grants. Aurora College was one of 15 post-secondary institutions to receive funding. The grants support the development and implementation of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) practices in post-secondary institutions. The announcement coincided with Minister Duncan's announcement of the Dimensions: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Canada program which aims to address systemic barriers, particularly those experienced by members of underrepresented or disadvantaged groups, including, but not limited to, women, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, members of visible minority/racialized groups, and members of LGBTQ2+ communities.
