Education

Masters of Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelors of Technology in Computer Science.

Responsibilities

Technical lead for ARI web and information management applications. Responsible for planning, development, deployment and management of web-application projects and information management systems within the Aurora Research Institute and on external projects as required. Also works with Aurora College Information System & Technology Division to ensure consistent protocols, approaches and standards throughout the organization.

Current Projects

  • Traditional Knowledge Search System in partnership with The Gwich'in Tribal Council, Department of Cultural Heritage.
  • Virtual Ethnobotany Garden Exhibit: The goal of this project is to highlight the traditional uses of plants found in the Mackenzie Delta region. Traditional knowledge from the Inuvialuit and Gwich’in are used to communicate the uses of locally important plants. Using virtual tours and the digitization of existing materials, this information is available year-round to the public.
