Originally from the East Coast, I have lived in Inuvik for over sixteen years. I first joined Aurora College as a Librarian and Student Success Coordinator in 2013. I am also a long-serving member on the board of the NWT Literacy Council and am dedicated to promoting literacy and life-long learning.

In my current role, I provide leadership in support of research data management and data management strategies at Aurora College. My primary responsibility is ensuring Aurora College achieves the goals and objectives laid out in our institutional research data management strategy. Working with our RDM Advisory Committee, I will oversee the development and maintenance of institutional policies and procedures related to research data. I am also responsible for the development of RDM services for researchers, including data management planning, data deposit, and data discovery.  I am thrilled to be playing a small role in increasing the impact of Northern research by helping to make research data more accessible.

I have a BSc in Biology from Dalhousie University, a Library and Information Technician diploma (with honours) from Mohawk College, and a Master of Information Studies (with distinction) from Charles Sturt University. My areas of speciality are research data management and information literacy, and I have extensive experience in both technical librarianship and library programming and outreach.
