Office Administration Diploma, Aurora College
The Executive Assistant is directly responsible for providing a full range of senior executive administrative and confidential administrative services to the Vice President, Research. The Executive Assistant liaises with the Managers of each of the regional research centres, research program areas and their respective staff regarding division-wide and college-wide coordination of administrative processes. The Executive Assistant provides services in accordance with the mission statement, values, principles and policies of Aurora College, and works within the context of the College’s vision and principles and in accordance with the Aurora College Policies and Procedures Manual.
I am an Inuvialuit beneficiary of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement. I was born and raised in Inuvik. My family is originally from Sachs Harbour and Tuktoyaktuk. With a connection to my roots, traditional sewing is where I spend a lot of my personal time. I am also actively involved in volunteering for minor hockey in which my two sons attend.
In 2012, I attended Thebacha Campus and attained a certificate with honours in Office Administration. In 2014, I attained a diploma with honours in Office Administration at Aurora Campus. With a passion to work with and assist people in my community, our region and public service - I find my position very rewarding.
