Seeking Research Advisory Council Members

The Aurora Research Institute (ARI) of Aurora College is seeking an external member for the Research Advisory Council (RAC), a standing committee of the Aurora College Board of Governors.

The RAC guides Aurora College and ARI in the pursuit of research-related goals and objectives, as described in the ARI strategic plan. To accomplish this, the RAC provides advice on College research priorities, guides the development and growth of research capacity at ARI and the College, and provides overarching strategic guidance on research-related initiatives.

The RAC is composed of several internal Board members, and four external members with NWT-based research expertise in specific academic disciplines. We are currently seeking the following external member:
Social Sciences Representative – This external member provides expertise and guidance on research in the social sciences. The successful candidate will have extensive experience conducting social research in the NWT, and a proven record of securing competitive research funding (e.g. from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, or similar agencies).
